Respondents This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for entire records pertaining to issuance of the order in Ma.A.12.Va.Thu.Na.Ka. No.040313/2016, dated 06.02.2017 passed by fourth respondent namely The Assistant Revenue Officer, 12th Zonal Office, Greater Chennai Corporation Office, Alandur, Chennai-600 016 and quash the same consequentially direct them to assess the property of the petitioner at No.161, Karuneegar Street, Adambakkam, Chennai 600 088 as per the guidelines prescribed by the Corporation of Chennai.

O R D E R

Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondent and by consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner is aggrieved against the final assessment order dated 06.02.2017.

3. Admittedly, as against the said order, the petitioner is having a statutory appellate remedy to file an appeal before the Taxation Appellate Tribunal. Without doing so, the petitioner has approached this Court. Therefore, it is for the petitioner to file such an appeal and canvass all the points before such Appellate Tribunal. By granting such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of. The petitioner shall file such appeal within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till the petitioner files such appeal, the respondents are directed, not to take any coercive steps against the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
