Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks for issuance of patta based on the representation dated 28.09.2015 for the property at Survey No.72, Kallankuthu Poramboke land to an extent of 1 Acre 25 cents and Maikal poramboke land at Survey No.93 at Koothamarikuppam to an extent of 1 Acre 50 cents.

3. Heard both sides.

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the subject matter property, for which, the petitioner seeks patta, falls within the jurisdiction of Pernambut Taluk, Vellore District and therefore, the petitioner has to approach only the said official for seeking patta.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to petitioner to approach the Tahsildar, Pernambut Taluk, Vellore District, and give a fresh representation seeking for issuance of patta within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the concerned Tahsildar shall consider the said representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants if any, within a period of eight weeks thereafter. No costs.
