O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the pending appeal filed by the petitioner on 24.01.2017 expeditiously as already directed by this Court in its order dated 09.11.2016 made in W.P.No.39121 of 2016.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner had approached the District Revenue Officer, Krishnagiri for renewal of his gun licence and the same was rejected. Challenging the said rejection by the District Revenue Officer, Krishnagiri, the petitioner had already filed a Writ Petition in W.P.No.39121 of 2016 and this Court, also taking note of the fact that the petitioner had effective, efficacious and alternative appeal remedy, dismissed the said Writ Petition with a direction to the Appellate Authority to consider the appeal as expeditiously as possible, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner. Inspite of the said direction of this Court to consider and dispose of the appeal of the petitioner expeditiously, the same has not yet been considered. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.This Court finds some merits in the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that four weeks time may be granted for considering and disposing of the petitioner's appeal. 5.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the pending appeal of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
