[Order of the Court was authored by R. SURESH KUMAR, J.] By the recommendary report dated 02.02.2011, the Commissioner of Adi-Dravidar Welfare Department has sent a detailed recommendation to the Secretary to the Government, Adi-Dravidar Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, to regularize 44 temporary employees, most of them having been working for more than twenty years at various schools of the Department.
2. Though initially the said proposal seems to have been rejected by the Government, subsequently, at the intervention of this Court, it seems that some of them have been given regularization. Such a pick and choose method adopted by the Government/Department concerned in regularizing those people who are similarly placed like the writ petitioner has been questioned before the Writ Court in the writ petition in W.P.No.30236 of 2023, which has been taken note of by the learned Single Judge and ultimately, the order impugned has been
passed, allowing the said writ petition.
3. In this context, let the learned Additional Government Pleader bring the necessary details as to how many out of the 44 recommendees have been given regularization and the orders, providing such regularization, passed by the Government/Department also shall be produced with reasons. Based on which, further course of action would be taken in this appeal.
4. List the appeal after two weeks.
