Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2011 with the reference to the request of the petitioner's Association not to grant permits for Diesel Driven Auto Rickshaws in Erode City. Heard Mr.S.Govindaraman, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.B.Anand, learned Government Advocate for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2011.

3. A perusal of the records would show that the petitionerAssociation sent a representation dated 07.01.2011 to the respondents requesting them not to grant permits for Diesel driven Auto Rickshaws in the Erode City.

4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents had produced the letter of the Regional Transport Officer, the second respondent herein, dated 17.10.2018, in which, it is stated that pursuant to the order of this Court in W.P.No.15278 of 2010, permission to Auto Rickshaws running on diesel has not been issued.
