The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct the temple festival and Manjuvirattu "kQ;R tpul;L" program scheduled to be held from 21.03.2023 to 22.03.2023 at Sri Vinayagar, Valli Devasena Udanurai Subramaniya Swamy Sri Mariamman Sri Muneeswarar Kovil, situated at Madura Suthukulam Village, Kattagaram, Udayarpalayam Taluk, Ariyalur District by considering the petitioner representation dated 27.01.2023.

It is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner has planned to organize "kQ;R tpul;L" on 21.03.2023 to 22.03.2023 at Sri Vinayagar, Valli Devasena Udanurai Subramaniya Swamy Sri Mariamman Sri Muneeswarar Kovil, situated at Madura Suthukulam Village, Kattagaram, Udayarpalayam Taluk, Ariyalur District. In this regard, petitioner submitted a representation dated 27.01.2023. So far no order is passed on his representation. He referred to an order passed by this Court in W.P.No.6471 of 2021 dated 12.03.2021, wherein similar relief was
already considered and ordered by the Division bench of this Court, giving directions to the respondent.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that appropriate orders would be passed on the representation of the petitioner as per Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019 issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai.
4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.
5.It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.01.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
