ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed praying for direction to the respondent to pay the difference amount of terminal benefits such as gratuity
and earned leave salary as per the 14th wage settlement along with 18 percent per annum interest for the belated period of terminal benefits to the petitioner within stipulated time as may be fixed by this court 2.
The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was working as Foreman in the respondent Transport Corporation and retired from service on 31.01.2022. The petitioner made representation on 08.09.2025 to pay difference amount of terminal benefits as per 14th Wage Settlement along with 18% interest. However, no order has been passed. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that 14th Wage Settlement was entered into between the petitioner Transport Corporation and Employees in the petitioner Corporation on 22.08.2022. As per the settlement, the persons who were in service from 01.09.2019 to 31.07.2022 receive the revised monetary benefits in terms of 14th Wage Settlement. The petitioner retired only on 31.01.2022. However, 14th Wage Settlement was signed later, and it cannot deprive the petitioner for getting the benefit.
4. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to verify the case of the petitioner and extend the 14th Wage Settlement to the petitioner, if otherwise eligible, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
