The petitioner is the widow of late Ambadi Balasankara Menon @ A.B.S. Menon. They had both executed a joint Will dated 13.07.2015. Her husband died on 13.05.2017.
2. The present petition has been filed seeking Letters of Administration with Will annexed. The respondents are their daughter and son. They had given consent for grant of Letters of Administration. The petitioner was examined as PW-1 and the Will was dated 13.07.2015 was marked as Ex.P-1 and the death certificate of the husband of the petitioner was marked as Ex.P-2 and the legal heirship certificate was marked as Ex.P-3. The affidavit of assets was marked as Ex.P-7.
3. To further prove the Will, the petitioner also examined as PW-2 V.K.Sameer, who was one of the attesting witness. He identified the Will and also stated that he and the second attesting witness Balachandran Sathyapalan had witnesses the execution of the Will and also stated that at that time, Ambadi Balasankara Menon @ A.B.S Menon was in a sound and disposing state of mind. His affidavit was marked as Ex.P-13.

4. In view of the evidence produced, this Original Petition stands allowed as follows:- (a) the letters of administration shall be issued in favour of the petitioner in respect of the properties mentioned in the petition.
(b) The petitioner is directed to duly administer the said properties of the deceased.
(c) The petitioner is also directed to execute a security bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) in favour of the Assistant Registrar (O.S-II), High Court, Madras. (d) The petitioner is further directed to render true and correct accounts once in a year.
