Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 24.03.2023 and representation dated 03.05.2023 and issue Patta in her favour in respect of the property situate at Survey No.40/1, No.6, Nandivaram Village, within the Panchayat Union of Kattangulattur, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District, now VandalurTaluk, Chengalpattu District measuring an extent of 22 cents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner for the land comprised in Survey No.40/1 measuring an extent of 22 cents, situated at No.6, Nandivaram Village, within the Panchayat Union of Kattangulattur, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District, now VandalurTaluk, Chengalpattu District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.05.2023. 3.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

The case of the petitioner is that the subject property has been purchased by the father of the petitioner and her paternal uncle by way of two registered Sale Deeds dated 04.11.1930 and 14.09.1935 respectively and after the demise of her paternal uncle, the said property absolutely 2/4

belongs to the family of the petitioner and they are in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property and paying tax to the revenue authorities. Therefore, the petitioner had given a representation dated 03.05.2023 for the issuance of a separate patta to the petitioner. But the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 5.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.05.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
