PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the first respondent to bring and produce the detenue S.Arun Kumar, aged 24, Husband of the petitioner before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

1. Pursuant to our last Order dated 01.11.2017, the petitioner and the detenue/Mr.S. Arun Kumar appeared before the Mediator.
1.1. The Mediator, however, by a report dated 30.11.2017, reported that the parties were unable to arrive at an amicable settlement.
2. We have also interacted with the petitioner as well as the detenue/Mr.S. Arun Kumar.

3. It seems that, at the moment, the differences between the two are irreconcilable.
3.1.We are further told by the petitioner that she has filed a petition for restitution of conjugal rights. 3.2.Likewise, we are informed that the detenue/Mr.S. Arun Kumar has filed a petition for divorce.
4. In these circumstances, no further orders can be passed in the captioned petition.
5. The petition is, accordingly, closed. The parties are at liberty to pursue their respective legal remedies, albeit, in accordance with law.
