.. Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse compensation as per law before dispossessing the petitioners from the lands comprised in S.No.217/2A2 and 218B/8A New No.218B/8A2, admeasuring 42 cents and 33.5 cents respectively. For Petitioners : Mr.N.A.Nissar Ahmed For Respondents : Mr.Durai Solaimalai (for R1 to R4) Additional Government Pleader.

By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. It is the case of the petitioners that their lands comprised in S.No.217/2A2 and 218B/8A New No.218B/8A2, admeasuring to an extent of 42 cents and 33.5 cents respectively, situated in Vandalur Village, were acquired by the respondents for extension of the road and ultimately the petitioners' lands were acquired and notice under Section 19(5) of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, was also issued for determining the compensation. The petitioners had also attended the enquiry on 08.10.2014.
3. The grievance expressed by the petitioners is that inspite of the fact that their lands have been acquired, they have not been paid any compensation and though, they submitted numerous representation, they have not been favoured with any response, hence came forward to file this writ petition.
4. Heard the submissions of Mr.N.A.Nissar Ahamed, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.Durai Solaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents.
5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the representations, directs the 4th respondent to consider the representations dated 13.10.2014 and 21.03.2015, submitted by the petitioners, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken to the petitioners.
