Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on my representation dated on 14.02.2023, to provide adequate police protection within a stipulated time fixed by this Hon'ble court.

O R D E R
The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2023 to provide
adequate police protection within a stipulated time.
2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner was in love with one Velu who belongs to Scheduled Caste community and the petitioner belongs to Most Backward Class community. Petitioner's love with Velu was strongly opposed by her parents and relatives and they forcibly married her to her uncle Ramarajan who is aged 11 years more than her. Even after the birth of the child, the petitioner was regularly harassed by her parents and relatives that she would be done to death for the reason that she was in love with that Velu. Fearing her life, she left her parents home on 07.02.2023 and now apprehending danger at the hands of the private respondents.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that as per the information received, the petitioner is now living with her former lover Velu. Her present where abouts is not informed. If petitioner provides her address, necessary steps would be taken for giving police protection.
4. In the light of the facts and circumstances brought to the notice of this Court, taking note of the fact that honour killing is happening every now and then, this Court directs the respondents 1 to 5 to look into the representation of the petitioner dated 14.02.2023 seriously and take
appropriate action immediately, including giving police protection. Petitioner is directed to appear before the 2nd respondent to give details of her present residential address for taking appropriate action.
