ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.695 of 2012, pending on his file and file final report within a stipulated period of time.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that as against one Selvaraj and Sharmila, he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.695 of 2012. Though the said complaint was registered as early as in the year 2012, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in Crime No.695 of 2012, the investigation was almost over and only the petitioner / de facto complainant has to be examined.
4. In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner / de facto complainant is directed to appear before the respondent police on 10.2.2017 for completion of enquiry and thereafter, the respondent police is directed to file the charge sheet with four weeks. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
