(By Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The Writ Petition has been filed, seeking to quash the proceedings in Na.Ka.09/2022/A1 dated 29.12.2022 passed by the 2nd respondent, by restraining the respondents from anyway removing the tombs and mortal remains under the guise of the constructing a Gas Crematorium in the burial ground site situated in the lands comprised in S.No.461 measuring to an extent of 0.22.50 Ares, in Old Gummidipoondi Village.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents that for the time being, the proposal for setting up a Gas Crematorium in the burial ground has been dropped and 2/4
he has also produced a copy of the letter dated 10.09.2024 in Na.Ka.No.195/2022/A1 addressed to him by the Executive Officer, Gummidipoondi Town Panchayat before this Court.
