JUDGMENT
[Judgment of this Court was delivered by T.RAJA, J.] This writ appeal has been filed challenging the order dated 18.01.2018 passed in W.P. No.16984 of 2011 in and by which the learned Single Judge, while coming to the conclusion that a compensation of Rs.7.50 lakhs would not only be just and reasonable, but would also meet the ends of justice, directed the appellant/third respondent to pay a sum of Rs.7.50 lakhs as compensation to the claimants/respondents 1 to 4. Aggrieved by the same, the appellant is before this Court.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 07.06.2022, there was no representation for the appellant and therefore, the registry was directed to be listed the matter today under the caption for dismissal. Even today there is no representation for the appellant, which shows that the appellant is not interested in prosecuting the appeal. Therefore, this writ appeal is liable to be dismissed for default. Accordingly, this writ appeal stands dismissed for default. No costs.
