ORDER
By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The case of the petitioner in brief:
The petitioner was working as Office Assistant in the 3rd respondent Bank and applied for one month leave from 06.08.2018 to 05.09.2018 and subsequently, she applied for extension of leave through e-mail. But, her request was denied and was directed to report to duty immediately. Further, due to the physical condition of the petitioner's child, she was forced to stay back and take care of her child. Therefore, the 1st respondent sent a communication dated 16.07.2020, stating that the petitioner has not reported to duty since September 2018 and was advised to report to duty to the respective Regional Office/Head Office on or before 30.07.2020. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation dated 22.07.2020 to the 1st respondent narrating her position and reasons for non-reporting to duty and sought permission of the 1st respondent to join duty at the 3rd respondent Branch. But, no response from the 1st respondent. Therefore, the petitioner again sent another representation dated 11.12.2020, through email, but the same was not considered till date. Hence, the writ petition.
3. Mr.N.G.R.Prasad, learned Counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that if any such representation made by the petitioner was received by the respondents, the same will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.
4. Inview of the above submission and also considering the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.12.2020 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, more preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall make her representation to the 1st respondent along with this order copy.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
