Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and dispose the representation made by the petitioner on 25.11.2014 to the respondent, thereby requesting him to measure the land and identify the boundaries, situated at Noombal Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Thiruvallur District, comprised in Survey No.131 for an extent of 10 cents, within a time frame. For Petitioner : Mr.A.Lakshminarasimhan For Respondent : Mr.V.Subbiah Special Government Pleader.

By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that her husband had purchased the property in Survey No.131, situated at Noombal Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Thiruvallur District, by means of a registered sale deed bearing Document No.675 of 1958 and after his demise, she has succeeded to the estate and is in possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner after the demise of her husband had a doubt with regard to the boundaries of the property and hence, made a representation dated 25.11.2014 by paying the necessary charges to the respondent for measuring the land and vide notice, the respondent asked the petitioner to appear on 14.03.2015 alongwith necessary documents and though the petitioner appeared, measurement was not done. Aggrieved by the said fact, petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.A.Lakshminarasimhan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 25.11.2014, submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken to the petitioner.
