This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to set aside the order dated 23.01.2026 passed in Crl.M.P.No.750 of 2026 on the file of the Principal Sessions Court, Chennai and consequently, relax the anticipatory bail condition requiring the petitioners to appear before the respondent police every Monday at 10.00 a.m., until further orders. 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are daily wage earners with no criminal antecedents. He further submitted that the petitioners have been regularly reporting before the respondent police in compliance with the earlier conditions. Hence, he seeks a modification of the existing condition. 3.
The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that there are no previous cases against the petitioners. He further submitted that the investigation is still pending. 4.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking note of the fact that the petitioners are residents of the same locality, this Court is inclined to modify condition No.6(b) previously imposed in Crl.M.P. No. 11467 of 2025. Consequently, the order dated 23.01.2023 passed in Crl.M.P. No. 750 of 2026 is hereby set aside. 2/4

Accordingly, the condition imposed at paragraph No. 6(b) of the order dated 10.12.2025 in Crl.M.P. No. 11467 of 2025 by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai, is modified as follows: "The petitioners shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for the purpose of investigation." All other conditions imposed by the Court below shall remain unaltered. 6.
This Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
