[R6 suo moto impleaded Vide order of this Court dated 11.03.2021] Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein to consider the petitioner's Gramanatham Sub Division Patta Transfer application dated 04.01.2021 and consequently to grant patta to property comprised in Survey No.106/25 totally measuring an extent of 2775 sq.ft., situated at Polur Town and Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District at the earlier point of time as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present petition is filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's application dated 04.01.2021, and to grant patta in her favour as concerning the property measuring an extent of 2,775 sq.ft.,in Survey No.106/25 in Polur Town and Taluk in Thiruvannamalai District.

2. Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate made a statement that the Natham settlement was governed by G.O.Ms.No.1971, Revenue Department dated 14.11.1988, and the circular of the Commissioner of Land Administration dated 07.08.2015. In the context of the issue raised by the petitioner, he ought to move the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvannamalai, in terms of the circular referred to above, for seeking remedies sought in her representation.

3. This Court suo moto impleads the District Revenue Office, Thiruvannamalai as the sixth respondent.

4. The petitioner is now required to make a fresh representation to the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvannamalai, within a period of two weeks, after the conclusion of the General Election-2021 of the Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly, which is scheduled to take place on 06.04.2021. Upon receipt of the application from the petitioner, the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvannamalai is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law, within a period of 16 weeks thereafter.
