The petitioners, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.12.2023, registered for the offences under Sections 442 I.P.C, 5(1), 6(1) of POCSO Act in Crime No.257 of 2023 seek bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the defacto complainant is the mother of the victim girl had misunderstood the relationship between the petitioner and the victim girl.

3. It is stated that there was a misunderstanding about usage of a cellphone. But, however a perusal of the statement recorded under Section 164(5) of Cr.Pc reveals the fact that the petitioner had forcibly committed the offence attracting POCSO Act.

4. Considering the nature of offences committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence this petition is dismissed.
