MAHADEVAN CRIMINAL MISCELLANEOUS PETITION No.2445 of 2020 in CRL.R.C.No.1240 OF 2019 K.RAMESH [ PETITIONER ] Vs K.T.R.KATHIRESAN [ RESPONDENT ] Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein the High Court will be pleased to grant further extension of time to comply with the condition granted by this Honble Court in Crl.MP.No.623/2020 in Crl.RC.No.1240/2019 by order dated 03.02.2020. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.L.GAVASKAR, Advocate for the petitioner the court made the following order:- This Court vide order dated 03.02.2020 in Crl.M.P.No.623 of 2020 in Crl.R.C.No.1240 of 2019, while granting suspension of sentence, directed the petitioner to deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- before the Trial Court within a period of four weeks. Since the time stipulated in the said order got lapsed, the petitioner has come up with the present petition seeking extension of time.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner produced a demand draft for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- bearing No.851811, dated 25.02.2020 drawn on IndusInd Bank, Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore, in favour of the Registrar, Hon'ble Judicial Magistrate-1, Coimbatore and sought permission to deposit the same before the Trial Court.

3.In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to deposit the said demand draft before the trial Court on or before 04.03.2020 and on such deposit, the trial Court shall accept the same and redeposit it in the fixed deposit in a nationalised bank, as directed by this Court on 14.11.2019.
