Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to furnish the petitioner with a copy of the Look Out Circular (LOC) said to have been issued against him.

This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to furnish him with a copy of the Look Out Circular (LOC) alleged to have been issued against him. 2.Heard Mr.K.S.Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Mr.D.Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.Today when the matter was called up, the learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions produced a copy of the letter of the second respondent dated 16.08.2017 to the first respondent, seeking for extension of Look Out Circular Suspect No.459588 which had expired on 31.01.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that their request for extension of Look Out Circular has not been granted till date and as such, there is no Look Out Circular pending as against the petitioner as on date. 5.Assuming that the second respondent's request seeking for extension of LOC is granted, the same shall expire on 31.01.2018. Apparently, even then, the Look Out Circular shall not have any validity.

6.In view of the same and recording the statement of the learned Additional Government Pleader that there is no Look Out Circular pending as on date against the petitioner in connection with Cr.No.12 of 2012, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
