O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to pay the remaining retirement benefits such as the benefits of Earned and Unearned Leave, old medical leave benefit and the other retirement benefits with interest at the rate of 12% from the date of retirement, within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Mr.R.K.Gandhi, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

3. The petitioner joined the service in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation on 26.11.1981 and he was retired from service on 30.04.2012 while working as a Record Clerk in the respondent Corporation. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that his remaining retirement benefits namely, Earned and Unearned Leave, old medical leave benefit and the other retirement benefits with interest at the rate of 12% from the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

date of retirement, have not been till date settled by the respondent.

4. Hence, the petitioner has given a representation on 24.12.2016 to the respondent Corporation. Till date, no action is forthcoming. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

5.In the light of the above, there shall be a direction to the respondent Corporation to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2016, in the light of the order passed in W.A.(MD) Nos.383 to 457 of 2015 dated 12.6.2015 (K.Rajendran and others v. The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Madurai) Limited represented by its Managing Director, Madurai and others), and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
