ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to revoke the order of suspension of the petitioner dated 22.06.2023 based on his application dated 18.08.2023 and 09.11.2023 as per the direction issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu in G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner, while he was working as Zonal Deputy Tahsildar at Jayankondam Zone in Ariyalur District, on the complaint dated 22.06.2023, alleging that he had demanded a sum of Rs.10,000/- for transfer of patta, FIR was registered in Crime No.02 of 2023, under Sections 7 and 12 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Pursuant to the registration of FIR, the petitioner was arrested and subsequently, he was released on bail. Pursuant to his arrest, he was deemed to be suspended on 22.06.2023 by the proceedings dated 22.06.2023. The investigation is still pending without filing any final report. Pursuant to the suspension order, the petitioner was not served with any charge
memo. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation for revocation of his suspension order in lieu of G.O.Ms.No.81 Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022.

In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking revocation of his order of suspension and in view of G.O.Ms.No.81 Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
