ORDER
This writ petition has been filed with a limited prayer to direct the first respondent/Additional Chief Secretary, Commissioner of Revenue Administration herein to dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 23.12.2013. 2.On merits, as the petitioner had suffered an order of punishment of stoppage of increment by 3 years with cumulative effect vide the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in No.Roc.No.20745/2012/A3 dated 26.10.2013, he preferred an appeal to the first respondent on 23.12.2013 and till date, the 1st respondent has not considered the said appeal petition and on account of which, the petitioner is faced with loss of seniority and promotion. Therefore, he sought for an earlier disposal https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
of the appeal.
3.Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents and would submit that the appeal petition of the petitioner would be considered at an earlier date in accordance with law.
4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 5.In the light of the above facts and circumstances, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 23.12.2013 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
