ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Special Judge No.II, Additional Sessions Judge, Puducherry, to expeditious the trial in Spl.S.C.No.19 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is sixth accused in Spl.S.C.No.19 of 2018. Out of 115 witnesses cited in this case, so far only 103 witnesses had been examined. The case is pending from 2018. Therefore, this petition is filed for fixing time limit for the early disposal of the case in Spl.S.C.No.19 of 2018.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) also heard. 4.In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that this case is pending for more than four years and that only about 103 witnesses were examined, this Court directs the learned Special Judge No.II, Additional Sessions Judge, Puducherry, to examine the witnesses on day to day basis and dispose the case in Spl.S.C.No.19 of 2018 as 2/4

expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction and observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
