ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2019.
2. According to the petitioners, the mother of the petitioners', namely, one Dhatchayani, owned a property in Survey No.123/3, Enathimelpakkam Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Tiruvarur District to an extent of 2 acres 8 cents. She has executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioners on 01.11.2019 and based on the same, the petitioners have applied for joint patta to the respondents on 10.11.2019. But, so far no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Earlier, when the matter was taken up for hearing, it was represented by the learned Government Pleader that enquiry has been fixed on 12.03.2020 and hence, the matter was adjourned. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent is not in a position to state the present status.
4. Considering the fact that already enquiry has been commenced, and the petitioners representation is pending with the respondent/Tahsildar from the year 2019, the respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law after giving opportunity to the petitioner as well as the other interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
