O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.3 of 2022 and to file a final report u/s. 173(2) of Cr.P.C before the Jurisdictional Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that Crime No.3 of 2022 was transferred from the Inspector of Police, Upper Koonor Police Station to District Crime Branch, Nilgris and a new crime number has been assigned as Crime No.10 of 2022, dated 29.11.2022. The learned Additional Public further submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.

4.In view of the above, the District Crime Branch, Nilgris is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.
