This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent-Police to register a case based on the complaint dated 08.04.2016, given by the petitioner and to file a final report.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.
3. On a reading of the complaint dated 08.04.2016, it is seen that the opposite party had borrowed Rs.2,00,000/- and has not returned to the petitioner. Since the dispute https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
essentially appears to be civil in nature, no positive directions can be issued to the second respondent-Police to register an FIR. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
