..Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 17.07.2024 sent for granting Domestic Electricity Service Connection for the house situate at S.F.No.189, Site No.45, RVE Nagar, 8th Street Nallur, Tiruppur within a stipulated period without insisting on 'No Objection Certificate' from the 2nd respondent and pass orders.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application for grant of electricity domestic service connection for her house situated at S.F.No.189, Site No.45, RVE Nagar, 8th Street Nallur, Tiruppur within a stipulated period, without insisting for 'No Objection Certificate' from the second respondent.

2. The petitioner has applied for domestic electricity service connection for the above said property with due formats and enclosures on 17.07.2024. The case of the petitioner is that the 1st respondent has not taken any steps to provide electricity service connection to the above said property. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court for the aforesaid relief.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that if an online application is submitted, the same would be considered.

4.Therefore, the petitioner is directed to make an online application within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the 1st respondent shall provide domestic electricity service connection on the basis of the indemnity, without insisting on 'No Objection Certificate' within a period of two weeks therefrom.
