The petitioner/A1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of the Tamil Nadu Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order, 1982 and Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 in Crime No.39 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The petitioner herein is the owner of the godown, in which 42,500 kgs of PDS rice and 7,500 kgs of PDS wheat have been stocked in connivance with the other two accused.
3.Considering the huge quantity of rice and wheat been illegally stocked, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 07.03.2022 ari https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
