The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to issue a patta to the petitioners in respect of the land in Survey No.244, measuring an extent of 80 cents out of 1.08 acres situated in Pothur Village, Ambattur Taluk, Thiruvallur District.
2. Mr. J. Bharathi Raja, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have given a representation dated 24.08.2013 to the 3rd respondent for the issuance of patta, however, the 3rd respondent has not passed any order sofar.
3. Ms. A. Mathumathi, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents respondent submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.08.2013 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
