WMP.No.5534/2020 etc.cases WMP.Nos.5534, 5535, 5539, 5542, 5543, 5549, 5551 & 5552 of 2020 respectively in WP.Nos.28329 to 28336 of 2014 T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J I have heard Mrs.AL.Gandhimathi, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.P.R.Dilipkumar, learned Standing Counsel for the fifth respondent.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that earlier, on 01.11.2019, an order of status quo was granted for a limited period. The interim order was subsequently extended for a period of eight weeks on 08.11.2019. Thereafter, the matters were mentioned before this Court and were listed on 21.1.2020. But, since this Court felt that there had been a time gap and that the interim order had already expired, the interim order was not extended.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that on account of the fact that the interim order of status quo was not extended, hectic attempts were made by the fourth respondent to utilize the lands for putting up a sub-station and for erecting supply poles.

4. The learned Government Advocate submits that there are other writ petitions seeking a similar relief and prays that those matters may be clubbed together. He further submits that as of now, nothing has been done 1/2 http://www.judis.nic.in

5. In the light of the above, the order of status quo already granted on 01.11.2019 and subsequently extended on 08.11.2019 shall continue till the next date of hearing. The above miscellaneous petitions are disposed of. Post the writ petitions on 09.3.2020.
