ORDER

The contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.No.40039 of 2015 order dated 20.07.2017.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the competent authorities of the Education Department forwarded the proposal to the Accountant General of Tamil Nadu. The Accountant General of Tamil Nadu considered the claim of the petitioner for grant of benefit under G.O.Ms.No.216, Finance (PC) Department dated 22.03.1993 and rejected the claim of the petitioner, since the Accountant General of Tamil Nadu found that the petitioner is not eligible to get the benefit extended in G.O.Ms.No.216, Finance (PC) Department.

3. In view of the fact that the Accountant General of Tamil Nadu has already rejected the case of the writ petitioner, this contempt petition stands closed. No costs.
