The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to issue patta by measuring the petitioner's land viz., property Land measuring to an total extent of about 1 acre 80 cents bearing Patta No.339 comprised in Survey No.66/2B in Pattuturai Village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District by disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2023.

In respect of property at Survey No.66/2B situated at Pattuturai Village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District, the petitioner made an application on 07.09.2022 to the 2nd respondent Tahsildar to survey the land to identify the four boundaries and in this regard the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner has given undertaking to pay the necessary fee and on such payment, let the 2nd respondent take up the application and to do the needful within a time frame.
3. Heard Mr.R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate for the respondents who would submit that, on receipt of the payment from the petitioner, the application submitted by the petitioner would be acted upon and needful would be undertaken by the 2nd respondent within a time frame 2/4
that may be stipulated by this Court.
4. Considering the said submission made by the learned counsel for both sides especially the stand taken by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to take up the application of the petitioner dated 07.09.2022 of course on receipt of the payment from the petitioner and do the needful by completing the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
