Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to release the payment of Rs.48,26,640/- [Rupees Forty Eight Lakhs Twenty Six Thousand Six Hundred and Forty Only] for the services rendered by the petitioner in respect of the contract awarded to them vide letter dated 10.09.2012 in No.SNC/24/Export Wheat/H&T/2012/Cont. By the first respondent together with a sum of Rs.7,54,600/ [Rupees Seven Lakhs Fifty Four Thousand and Six Hundred only] being the amount due under Security Deposit and Earnest Money Depsoit totaling a sum of Rs.55,81,240/- [Rupees Fifty Five Lakhs Eighty One Thousand Two Hundred and Forty Only] together with interest @ 12 per annum from 25.10.2012 till date of payment.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 17.04.2018, there was no representation on behalf of the writ petitioner, as well as on behalf of the respondents. Thus, the case was listed under the caption 'for dismissal' on 18.04.2018. Again, the matter was listed under the caption 'for dismissal' on 20.04.2018. On 20.04.2018, there was no representation on behalf of the writ petitioner, and it was posted under the caption 'for dismissal' once again on 23.04.2018.

2. When the matter is taken up for further hearing today (25.04.2018), none appeared for the writ petitioner. Thus, the writ petition stands dismissed for non prosecution. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
