J U D G M E N T
This Criminal Appeal has been preferred against the judgment dated 26.02.2021 in Special Case No.1 of 2019 (Old No.4 of 2015) on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Chengalpattu.

The appellant was convicted for offence under Section 6 of POCSO Act and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to undergo simple imprisonment for 6 months. This Court, by order dated 25.04.2022, suspended the sentence imposed on the appellant and he was released on bail. 3.
Pending appeal, the appellant died on 08.05.2025. The learned counsel for the appellant and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent produced the death certificate of the appellant dated 16.06.2025.

In view of the above, this Criminal Appeal is dismissed as abated.
