Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein to remove the Lock and Seal put up in the building at No.13 Stringer Street Sowcarpet Chennai-79 to enable the petitioner to rectify the deviations and remove unauthorized constructions put up in the building.

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, ACJ.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.C.Selvasekaran, learned counsel appearing for respondents 1 to 3.

2 The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein to remove the Lock and Seal put up in the building at No.13 Stringer Street Sowcarpet Chennai-79 to enable the petitioner to rectify the deviations and remove unauthorized constructions put up in the building.

3. According to the petitioner, he is a power of attorney representing the owner of the property in question and without giving sufficient opportunity, the premises in question was locked and sealed. Now, he seeks the indulgence of the court for an opportunity to rectify the defects pointed out by the authorities.

4 Therefore, it is for the respondent-authorities to de-seal the premises within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the petitioner shall carry out the rectification within two months from thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
