ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent police to give police protection and permission to conduct the cultural programme at Vandavasi Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, on 13.04.2017 in the event of Sri Thambeswarar Sameytha Sri Maragathavalli Thayar temple festival, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2017.
2.It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has submitted a representation dated 17.03.2017 to the respondents, seeking permission to conduct Cultural Programme at Vandavasi https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, on 13.04.2017 in the event of Sri Thambeswarar Sameytha Sri Maragathavalli Thayar temple festival. However, the respondents have not passed any order on the said representation. Hence this writ petition. 3.Though the petitioner sought for permission to conduct "cultural programme", learned counsel for the petitioner restricted the same to the extent of conducting Orchestra, for which, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has raised no serious objection.
4.In view of the submission so made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.03.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Orchestra at Vandavasi Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, on 13.04.2017 in the event of Sri Thambeswarar Sameytha Sri Maragathavalli Thayar temple festival, subject to usual conditions. It is made clear that this Court has not granted any direction to conduct "Adal Padal Nigazhchi / dance programme" in the name of "cultural programme".
