ORDER

(Made by Dr. ANITA SUMANTH, J.) This Habeas Corpus petition has been filed by the husband of one Umamaheshwari (detenue) who alleges her illegal detention by R3.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner was married to detenue on 29.05.2017 and they have a male child. The detenue has been missing since 02.01.2026 leaving the child with the petitioner. He had lodged a complaint before the police on 04.01.2026 and FIR has been registered in Crime No.9 of 2026.

3. This Court had, on the earlier occasions, directed the authorities to make a search for the detenue and status reports are being filed from time to time. The latest status report is dated 23.03.2026, wherein the authorities confirm that the detenue has been seen with R3. They have also placed on record material to the effect that R3 and the detenue have purchased air tickets for travel to Coimbatore.

4. Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on 2/4

instructions, confirms that this is not a case of illegal detention and the detenue, aged 29 years, is voluntarily in the company of R3. In such circumstances, there is no justification in entertaining this habeas corpus petition any further.

5. Recording the aforesaid, we close this habeas corpus petition. The petitioner may co-ordinate with the police authorities, who are directed to continue the investigation in Crime No.9 of 2026.
