This writ petition has been filed challenging the order of suspension suspending the petitioner from service on the ground of involvement of the petitioner in a criminal case.

2. When this matter earlier came up for consideration before this court yesterday, it is brought to the notice of this court by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents that the petitioner was convicted during the pendancy of the writ petition and he had also attained the age of superannuation. Hence, nothing survives in the present writ petition. Taking into consideration the same and also considering the fact that there was no representation for the petitioner, the matter was directed to be listed under the caption "For Dismissal".

3. Today, inspite of the matter being listed under the caption "For Dismissal", there is no representation for the petitioner. In the circumstances, this court is left with no other option except to dismiss the writ petition for non-prosecution.
