O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to revise the petitioner's wages with effect 01.09.2013 based on the 12th wage settlement dated 13.04.2015 and pay him the arrears of wages payable from 01.09.2013 to 28.02.2013 and difference in Gratuity along with the interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement within a time limit.

2. It had been stated that the petitioner had joined the service of the respondents as Special Grade Driver and after attaining the age of superannuation had retired from service on 28.02.2015. It is thus seen that the petitioner seeks the said relief after a period of 10 years.

3. Let the respondents examine whether the petitioner is entitled 2/4

for the benefits granted under the 12th wage settlement dated 13.04.2015 and if the petitioner is entitled the respondents shall disburse the same within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In view of the delay in seeking the relief, it would not be appropriate to further mulct the respondents with payment of interest. However if the amount is disbursed after a period of four months, then interest would be payable from the date on which the amounts were due to be paid @ 6% p.a.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
