O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 09.01.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for issuance of patta in his name with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.R.Thanjan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Satish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. The petitioner claims to be a Ex-Service man, who is doing agricultural activities in the subject property. The subject property has been classified as Karadu. Hence, the petitioner made several representations to the respondents seeking for issuance of patta. On receipt of the representations, the District Collector, through 2/4

communication dated 06.05.2024, forwarded the same to the third respondent. The third respondent, in turn, made a communication on 30.05.2024 to the Revenue Inspector to submit a report. Thereafter, there was no progress. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 09.01.2025 and consider the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
