O R D E R

The prayer of the petitioner in this writ petition is for a direction to remove his name from the History Sheet pending before the third respondent.

2.Today, when the matter is called, the third respondent herein has filed counter affidavit, wherein it is stated that there is no case pending against the petitioner in their police station or in nearby police stations. Since the petitioner is not involved in any of the offences, it would be appropriate for the third respondent to reconsider his request for removal of the name.

3.In the result, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the third respondent seeking for removal of his name in the history sheet and on receipt of such representation, the third respondent shall pass appropriate orders on its own merits, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
