O R D E R

The petitioner, alleging wilful disobedience and violation of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.21698 of 2016, dated 24.06.2016, has filed this petition for contempt.

2. Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent would submit that the order passed by this Court has been complied with by the respondent vide proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvannamalai, dated 30.01.2018 in N A4/462/2018 and, as such, nothing remains for adjudication in this contempt.

3. The said proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvannamalai, are taken on record. This Court has also perused the proceedings, wherein, it is stated, among other things, that if any person is aggrieved by the said order, he or she can file an appeal before the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvannamalai.

4. In the light of the above, this Court is of the view that no contempt has been made out. Therefore, this Contempt Petition is closed. No costs. However, the persons, including the petitioner, if aggrieved by the said order of the Revenue Divisional Officer, are at liberty to work out their remedy in accordance with law before the competent forum.
