Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to expedite the repair/ maintenance work of the "Electrical crematorium" situated at 14 th Sector, K.K. Nagar, Chennai 600 078 and to re-open it within the time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court and to direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.12.2024. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Counsel for petitioner, in fairness, states the electrical crematorium has started functioning in March, 2025. Counsel states petitioner has also filed a representation dated 27.12.2024, copy whereof is at page 47.

2. Mr.Arun Babu states that Commissioner will personally look into the matter and dispose the representation within two weeks. Shri. Arun Babu states he will inform petitioner's advocate about the time and date their representative can meet the Commissioner and at least 48 hours advance notice will be given. Statement is accepted.
