Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition even at the stage of admission.

The petitioner has sought a mandamus directing the respondents, being the Chairman and officials of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board to provide permanent electricity service connection to the property at Door Nos.1 & 2, Perumal Kovil Street, Nerkundram, Chennai - 600 107 ('property'/'property in question').

3. Mr.Jai Venkatesh would point out that the temporary service connection is already available to the property in question. He would further state that representation dated 02.02.2024 is received from the petitioner and that the same will be considered in accordance with law, expeditiously. He would indicate that a completion certificate as regards 2/4

the construction effected on the property is to be provided by the petitioner along with requisite charges.

4. Let the same be intimated to the petitioner in order that he may comply with the requirements. Mandamus is issued to R2 to hear the petitioner and dispose representation dated 02.02.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and all prevailing Rules and Regulations, within a period of four (4) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
