ORDER

This Court, while disposing of the Writ Petition in W.P.No.4996 of 2016 by order dated 10.03.2016, directed the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2014 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass order after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners as well as to the necessary parties, if any.

2.The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioners alleging non-compliance of the order dated 10.03.2016 passed by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate submitted that in compliance with the order of this Court, the respondent has considered the representation of the petitioner and passed an order on 20.02.2018 rejecting the claim of the petitioners. Thus, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the order of this Court has been duly complied with by the respondent.

4.Since the order of this Court has been complied with, nothing survives in this contempt petition and accordingly, the same is closed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to challenge the order passed by the respondent in the manner known to law, if they so desire.
