ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to absorb the petitioner as Staff Nurse while considering the remaining candidates (714) who are going to absorb shortly.

2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed as a Staff Nurse during the Covid-19 period. It is the grievance of the petitioner that while the persons appointed during the period in Phase-I & II were not terminated and they were allowed to continue in the service, the petitioner along with some other persons were terminated. Challenging the same, around 977 persons were approached this Court by way of writ petitions in W.P.No.2424 of 2023 etc., batch and this Court by its order dated 12.07.2023, allowed the writ petitions by quashing the termination order and directed to absorb the petitioners permanently as Nurse. As against the same, the appeal filed by the Government in W.A.No.2856 of 2023 was dismissed by the Division Bench and subsequently, all the persons were absorbed. Immediately, after knowing the same, the petitioner sent a representation on 08.01.2026 seeking to absorb him in the service. Since the

same was not considered till date, the present writ petition is filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders within a stipulated time.

5. In view of the same, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on the same, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above terms. No costs. 10-02-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order KKN
