O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to forbear the second respondent from retiring the petitioner from service and to direct the second respondent to permit the petitioner to continue in service as Driller in the Respondent Company till attaining the age of 60 years as per the modified standing order duly certified by the Regional Labour Commissioner(C), Chennai.

2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the claim of the writ petitioner-workmen is for continuance of his service up to the age of 60 years.

3. However, the respondents allowed the writ petitioner to continue his service till the age of 60 years and thereafter, he was allowed to retire from service on 28.02.2018 and all the benefits were also settled.

4. In view of the fact that the grievance of the writ petitioner was redressed. Thus, no further adjudication needs to be entertained in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. However, there shall be no order as to cost.
